Al-Hamadi Set For Surgery

Blues forward Ali Al-Hamadi is scheduled to have surgery for his persistent adductor injury once he returns from his post-season break, as reported by TWTD.

Since joining Town from AFC Wimbledon in January, Al-Hamadi has been grappling with this issue, forcing him to withdraw from Iraq’s March internationals. Alongside skipper Sam Morsy, the 22-year-old traveled to Dubai following the recent promotion celebrations, while other team members enjoyed their time in Las Vegas.

Manager Kieran McKenna mentioned that Al-Hamadi’s physical condition is manageable, but the ongoing problem in his adductor area necessitates continuous treatment and medication. McKenna indicated that the situation will be reassessed at the season’s end. Despite this, Al-Hamadi is expected to be fit for the upcoming weekend’s game, with plans for treatment during the international break to ensure his availability for subsequent matches.
