Done deal: Bills land a roster deal with……see more

The Buffalo Bills have made several roster moves as they prepare for their regular season opener against the Arizona Cardinals on September 8. Following their preseason finale loss to the Carolina Panthers, the team released seven players and placed two safeties on injured reserve.

The roster cuts include wide receiver Tavon Austin, running back Antonio Williams, and linebacker Joe Giles-Harris, among others. The team also placed safeties Jordan Poyer and Damar Hamlin on injured reserve, dealing a blow to their secondary.

Despite the loss, the Bills’ preseason finale saw some promising performances from quarterback Josh Allen and wide receiver Stefon Diggs. Allen completed 12 of 15 passes for 141 yards and a touchdown, while Diggs caught three passes for 51 yards.

As the Bills finalize their 53-man roster, some players are still competing for a spot. Rookie running back James Cook has impressed coaches with his speed and agility, and may see significant playing time this season.

The Bills’ regular season schedule kicks off with a home game against the Cardinals, followed by a road trip to face the Los Angeles Chargers. They will then return home to face the Miami Dolphins in their AFC East opener.

In divisional odds, the Bills have dropped to second favorite behind the New York Jets, who are now at +185 to win the AFC East. The Bills are at +200, followed by the Dolphins at +400 and the New England Patriots at +500.

Despite the odds, the Bills are confident in their chances this season. “We’ve got a talented roster and a great coaching staff,” said Allen. “We’re ready to make a run at it.”

With their roster nearly set, the Bills are focused on preparing for the regular season. “We’re going to take it one game at a time,” said head coach Sean McDermott. “We’re excited to get started.”
